President Tinubu Appoints Bashir Ojulari as New CEO of NNPC Limited

President Bola Tinubu has appointed Bashir Ojulari as the new Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited. The announcement was made in an official statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy.

The statement, titled ‘President Tinubu Reconstitutes NNPC Limited Board, Appoints New Chairman and Group CEO,’ confirmed that Tinubu acted under Section 59 (2) of the Petroleum Industry Act 2021.

This appointment also led to the removal of Mele Kyari, the former Group Managing Director of NNPC Limited.
