EFCC Arrests 40 Suspected Internet Fraudsters in Niger State, Recovers Juju Items, Cars, Electronics

The Kaduna Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested 40 suspected internet fraudsters in coordinated operations carried out in Bida and Minna, Niger State.
In a statement released by the EFCC, operatives recovered a number of unusual items from the suspects, including four ladies’ underwear, a waist bead, three calabashes adorned with feathers, traditional soap and sponge, a bottle of liquor, and 20 cowries — all suspected to be fetish objects linked to ritualistic practices.

The agency also seized a range of property believed to be proceeds of cybercrime. These include:
Three cars
Eight power generating sets
One Hisense air conditioner
Two stabilisers
10 motorcycles
Eight laptop computers
Four Bluetooth speakers
60 Android phones
The suspects are currently in EFCC custody and will be charged to court upon conclusion of investigations.
