Courtois: Despite having little or nothing to do in the first half, the Belgian stopper showed the best and worst of his repertoire in the second 45′ with fine saves and a careless clearance that the Basque side were unable to capitalise on. Could have done better with the Bigas goal despite the wicked deflection.
Carvajal: An early tangle with Eibar’s Kike seemed to affect the right back who was subbed at the interval for Mendy.
Ramos: Bagged the second goal of the game as Eibar were caught pressing and tapped into an empty net after fine build-up play from Benzema and Hazard. Real Madrid looked solid with the Camas born defender on the pitch and looked more vulnerable with his departure.
Varane: Delivered a solid defensive performance and linked up well with Ramos with the French defender never really tested by the Basque side.
Marcelo: An accomplished performance from the Brazilian who bagged the third goal for his side rifling home with his favoured left foot. The defender delivered the standout image of the evening with his Black Lives Matter tribute following the goal.
