Priyanka Chopra’s much-awaited memoir titled Unfinished is out now where she has opened up on various aspects related to her life. The actress has also talked about a botched up surgery that she underwent back in the early 2000s. While recalling the same, Priyanka began by writing on how it began with a lingering head cold in 2001 which she believed was a sinus infection. The actress who has a problem with asthma also added that she had trouble breathing.
It was after that the actress consulted a doctor who was recommended to her by a family friend. This physician informed her about the presence of a polyp in her nasal cavity which needed to be removed surgically. Chopra, 38, thought of this to be a routine procedure but the polypectomy didn’t go well for her. She wrote in her memoir how the doctor accidentally shaved off the bridge of her nose while removing the polyp because of which it collapsed.
The actress further mentioned in her memoir how horrified she and her mom were after the bandages were removed. According to Priyanka Chopra, her original nose was gone, and that her face looked completely different. Not only that but she also wrote about how it made her feel devastated and hopeless. The actress revealed the aftermath of the botched surgery and mentioned how the media called her Plastic Chopra. She went on to add that this has followed her during the entire professional life. The White Tiger actress said that she dared to give an explanation for the same but decided to draw a line and keep that private. For the unversed, Priyanka underwent multiple surgeries to fix the damage caused by the polypectomy.
