This is not a drill: the NY Jets have scored in Week 4! Running back Michael Carter just recorded his first career touchdown in Week 4’s game against the Tennessee Titans.

Carter’s TD marks the first Jets touchdown scored in the first half so far this season. To list an ugly stat: the Jets were outscored 46 to 3 in first halves entering Week 4, so Carter’s score adds a special oomph to team morale.

Check out the rookie’s highlight below:

New York has been ramping up Carter’s workload in recent weeks, when he recorded 11 carries against New England and nine against Denver. Through three games, Carter has posted 89 rushing yards and no score — until now.

Carter, Tevin Coleman, and Ty Johnson are currently competing for touches in the Jets’ backfield, with Carter getting slightly more action than Johnson and Coleman having been sidelined for a short stretch due to an illness.
