Eamonn Holmes has slammed Celebrity Gogglebox for an ‘atrocious edit’ after he accused them of replacing a heartbreaking scene with a ‘funny’ one. During one segment of the Channel 4 show, the star-studded line-up which includes Eamonn and his wife Ruth Langsford, watched BBC One’s Ambulance. And the pair were moved to tears as a boy tried to resuscitate his dad, who was thought to have had a heart attack. The boy can be heard breaking down as the 999 call handler tried to guide him on how to resuscitate his dad. Eamonn claims they edited out him speaking about his own terrifying ordeal for a funny anecdote (Picture: Channel 4) ‘All I can say is when your contractions started – and I don’t like to blow my own trumpet but thank goodness I was the ambulance that day,’ he told his wife. ‘I got you there in the nick of time.’ Taking to social media after the instalment, Eamonn went on to accuse Studio Lambert of replacing the scene where he shared the heartbreak of losing his father with one about Ruth giving birth. ‘So following a tragedy that has forever haunted my family, I am in no mood for criticising holier than thou mouthpieces on here who haven’t gone through what we did,’ his first tweet read.
